The Day Before Tomorrow’s Journey – ‘Penang Hideaway’

Well! A planned trip to Penang for this coming holiday had finally been confirmed today.

The location, Feringghi site, very near to the water and we will be looking into some interesting activities for further enriching our own travel experiences. Why did we choose Penang? Actually, it was about fulfilling the request of a very dear old friend, Azian Aziz, who was a former classmate when we all studied together during the heydays of Sekolah Dato’ Abdul Razak or SDAR where we had the best prime time years of our lives.

If at Mersing, we enjoyed ourselves staying at ‘Kalis's Place’, then we should now look forward to putting up shelter at ‘Ismail's Guest House’ – which is a low-budget accommodation much-loved by tourists and situated near the Penang Park Royal Hotel. So, why not stay there? Anyway, we are tourists ourselves and for 3 days from May 27th to 29th 2008.

The best part of it all is, I will be able to enjoy the pleasure of driving my W123 1984 Mercedes-Benz for approximately 700km from Johor Bahru right up to Penang.

Sure, there will be lots of memories and a bundle of joy to be captured on jpeg pictures describing an adventure travel where you can find it in something like the saying, "Doors that thunk, switches that click, indicator stalks that feel like tree trunks and a steering wheel straight off the bridge of the Nautilus".

We will see about that. Hopefully!

It's not a real world
